Small businesses are up against shrinking access to credit, and businesses owned by women, Black, and Hispanic entrepreneurs have been impacted the hardest. The My Credit Compass Program wants to help change that.

Citi is a preeminent banking partner for institutions with cross-border needs, a global leader in wealth management and a valued personal bank in its home market of the United States. Citi does business in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions, providing corporations, governments, investors, institutions and individuals with a broad range of financial products and services. Through its Community Investing and Development team, Citi provided catalytic funding to Justine PETERSEN to develop and implement the My Credit Compass initiative.

Experian will provide CDFIs with an Experian CreditCenter™ subscription to offer their members access to their credit information and interactive credit tools. Members obtain services at no-fee and the ability to address inaccuracies over a digital, 12-month, easy-to-follow program which enables them to review their FICO® Score and Experian Credit Report. It is hopeful that these services ultimately result in a higher FICO Score, a clear credit report, and access to less costly credit products for their businesses.

Justine PETERSEN, a nationally recognized nonprofit financial asset building organization, is teaming up with Citi and Experian to train fellow CDFIs on the Experian CreditCenterTM, to administer the My Credit Compass program and to assist CDFIs with scaling the My Credit Compass program through their members.
